1) Parkash Singh Badal conferred with Sant Namdev National Award:
--> Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal was on 10 June 2015 conferred the prestigious 14th Sant Namdev National Award- 2015 for promoting peace, communal harmony and universal brotherhood by the Sarhad foundation.
--> This award was bestowed upon Badal by Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in the presence of the organisers of the Sarhad foundation.

2) Union Cabinet approved Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) Motor Vehicle Agreement:
--> Union cabinet on 10 June 2015 decided to sign a road connectivity pact with Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, leaving out Pakistan.
--> It will be inked on 15 June in Thimpu, capital of Bhutan, between the transport ministers of what has come to be named BBIN (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal) countries.
--> The agreement which is similar to the SAARC Motor Vehicle Agreement (MVA) seeks to regulate the vehicular traffic of passenger, personal and cargo amongst BBIN countries.

3) INS Vikrant undocked at Cochin Shipyard:
--> India crossed a major milestone in defence shipbuilding on 10 June 2015 when the maiden indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant was undocked on completion of structural work at the State-owned Cochin Shipyard.
--> Navy is slated to take delivery of the carrier in end-2018.
--> With successful completion of construction of INS Vikrant India joins elite group of four nations in the world viz United States, Russia, United Kingdom and France that are capable of designing and constructing aircraft carriers.

4) Scientist Srivari Chandrasekhar named Director of IICT:
--> Senior scientist Srivari Chandrasekhar has been appointed Director of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), a premier research institute of the Central Government.
--> He was named to the top post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his capacity as President of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which functions under Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

5) WHO declared India free of maternal and neonatal tetanus:
--> India has successfully reached its goal of eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus.
--> WHO has recently declared India free of maternal and neonatal tetanus.
--> The elimination of neonatal tetanus is defined as less than one case in 1000 live births in every district across the country, said the WHO.
--> The disease usually occurs in newborns through infection of the unhealed umbilical stump, especially when the stump is cut with a non-sterile instrument.

6) Adani gets nod to develop Vizhinjam port in Kerala:
--> The Kerala Cabinet on 10 June 2015 cleared the lone bid submitted by Adani Ports and SEZ Limited to develop the Rs 6,500-crore Vizhinjam port project,  Thiruvananthapuram.

7) Kapil Mishra named new Delhi Law Minister:
--> Delhi Jal Board vice-chairman Kapil Mishra was on 10 June 2015 named as the new Law Minister replacing Jitender Singh Tomar who had resigned from the post on Tuesday night following his arrest on charge of possessing fake degrees.

8) HDFC Bank launched PayZapp:
--> HDFC Bank on 10 June 2015 launched Pay Zapp, a complete digital payment and purchase solution, a one-stop online portal offering customers ‘great deals at one place’.
--> The app will be available for all customers of HDFC bank who will be allowed to use both type of cards namely VISA and MasterCards.

9) World's first water-based computer developed by Indian:
--> World's first synchronous computer that operates on water droplets has been developed by an Indian-American researcher from Stanford University.
--> Manu Prakash, assistant professor of bioengineering, and his students have built a unique computer that operates using the unique physics of moving water droplets.
