1) Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams won the 2015 Miami Open Tennis Singles titles:
--> World number one Serena Williams thrashed Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro to win her 8th Miami Open title. The 33-year-old raced to a 6-2 6-0 victory in 56 minutes to secure her third straight title at Crandon Park.
--> Novak Djokovic of Serbia beat the third seeded Andy Murray of Britain 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-0 to win his fifth Miami Open title.
--> With this win, Williams has won 66 singles titles, one behind Billie Jean King of the US.
--> At present, both Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are placed at the top spots in men’s and women’s singles rankings respectively.

2) Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis won women's singles Miami Open title:
-->  Sania Mirza achieved yet another career milestone by capturing her 25th WTA doubles title as the Indian ace continued her dream start with Martina Hingis to win the Miami Open trophy on 5 April 2015.
--> The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair overcame a sluggish start to take the title with a 7-5, 6-1 scoreline against second seeded Russian team of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.
--> Veterans Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan captured their fourth men's double title in Miami after beating their rivals Jack Sock and Vasek Pospisil by 6-3, 1-6, 10-8.

3) India to host fifth meeting of SAARC health ministers:
--> Indian will host the fifth meeting of SAARC health ministers next week to deliberate on key issues including HIV/AIDS, prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases and to strengthen collaborations amongst the nations.
--> The 4th meeting of the SAARC Health Ministers was held at Maldives in April 2012.

4) Kejriwal re-launched anti-corruption helpline number 1031 in Delhi:
--> Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 5 April 2015 re-launched the anti-corruption helpline number 1031 to help people register their complaints if they are harassed for bribes.
--> This helpline number was first launched by the party during their 49-day stint in power in 2013.
--> The number was re-launched by Kejriwal at a public event.

5) World's largest Hadron collider restarted:
--> Cern, Europe's particle physics research centre, has restarted their Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
--> The LHC is also called the 'Big Bang' LHC because it may just be able to solve the mysteries of how the universe was created.
--> The restarting of the collider signifies a new journey into discovering 'dark matter'.
--> The machine had previously shut down two years ago for a refit.

6) Delhi airport bags Golden Peacock National Quality Award:
--> Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock National Quality Award for the year 2015.
--> DIAL was bestowed this award for their efforts in building a culture of Total Quality across Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
--> United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister for culture, youth and development Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan will present thisaward to DIAL at a specially organized presentation ceremony to be held in Dubai on April 20, 2015. 

7) Chen Long, Carolina Marin won Malaysia Open titles:
--> China's Chen Long and Spain's Carolina Marin clinched the men's and women's singles titles, respectively, in the $500,000 Malaysia Open Super series Premier badminton tournament at the Putra Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5 April 2015.
--> Reigning World champion Long overcame compatriot and five-time World champion Lin Dan 20-22, 21-13, 21-11 in an hour and 18 minutes.

--> In the women's singles final, current World Champion Carolina got the better of China's Olympic champion Li Xuerui 19-21, 21-19, 21-17 in an hour and 11 minutes.
