       Pursuant to the Directorate letter No.A-34012/04/2016-DE dated 14-06-2016, the LGOs Examination for the Year 2015-16 for promotion of LGOs(Postman/Mail Guard & MTS) was conducted in-house ie by the Circle on 31-07-2016. After evaluation of the answer sheets of the said examination on 05-08-2016, the merit list of the said examination was prepared .

         I am directed to  furnish below the result of the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for the vacancies pertaining to the Year2015-16 for promotion of Postman/Mail Guard & MTS to the cadre of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants held on 31-07-2016. The following candidates are declared selected for Postal Assistant/Sorting Asst cadre as per the merit list of qualified candidates preparted by the Circle.    The above selection is based on the following eligibility criteria for qualifying in the examination as given below and merit position and existing vacancies in the Division .

OC candidates
40 % in each paper
SC/ST candidates
33% in each paper

As per the Directorate’s instruction the surplus qualified candidates of a Division  are to be allotted to other Division, where the vacancy remains unfilled due to want of qualified candidate in the said Division on the basis of a combined merit list of such surplus candidates in the Circle. For this purpose the surplus candidates are required to give four options(name of Divns) of their choice in order of preference.  The allotment of such surplus candidates will be  made subject to their merit position in the combined merit list and existing unfilled vacancies in other Divisions and choices excercised by the candidates.If any candidate can’t be accommodated in the Division of his choice/preference then he may be allotted to other Division where vacancy lies. The list of surplus candidates will be submitted later on.

     In case any mistake  in the names and other particulars of the candidate is detected the same may please be corrected  and the corrections may be  intimated to this office also. This result is also subject to  any change in the merit list  of selected candidates due to future re-totaling  or any reason in accordance with the existing rules and instructions on the subject.

    The concerned Divisional Heads are also requested to verify the current status of candidate before implementation of result. If any disciplinary/vigilance case is pending against the selected candidates,promotion may be given following usual procedures in the matter. This office should also be informed of the matter.

Dear Madam
I wish to inform that Staff Selection Commission has proposed to conduct Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-l), 2016 in Computer Based Mode during 27.08.2016 to 11.09.2016 all over India. The Commission normally nominates Inspecting Officers selected among the serving Central Government officers to supervise conduct of examinations in various Venues in the Centres/Cities.

2. In Southern Region, the said examination will be held on the above said dates in the following Centres/Cities:-

I - Telangana - 3 Centres (Hyderabad, Warangal & Karimnagar)
II - Andhra Pradesh - 6 Centres (Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Kurnool, Anantapur, Vijayawada, Chittoor - Tirupati)
III - Tamil Nadu - 6 Centres (Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Madurai. Tirunelveli & Cuddalore)
IV - Puducherry - 1Centre (Puducherry)

3. As the Computer Based Examination is likely to be conducted continuously for a period of 14-15 days, it would be difficult for various Central Government Departments/Organisations to spare the services of their Officers for the entire period of 15 days as this would affect the routine day to day work. SSC (SR) is therefore exploring the possibility of nomination retired Central Government Officers living in the above Cities (Examination Centres) as Inspecting Officers for supervision of Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-l), 2016 for the entire period.


Further, these Officers may also be included as members of the flying squad for conducting surprise inspections at examination venues/institutions. In these circumstances, SSC (Southern Region) requires a list of retired Central Government Officers living in the above cities/towns, with their name, age, address and contact numbers.

4. You are requested to please note that these officers would be paid a honorarium per day as per the details below:-
