Circle office and administrative office : UR 21, SC 7, ST 2, OBC 3, PWD 1 & Ex-Serviceman 3.

Postal Division : UR 1, SC 0, ST 0, OBC 0, PWD 0 & Ex-Serviceman 0.

RMS Division : UR 30, SC 8, ST 7, OBC 15, PWD 1 & Ex-Serviceman 6.

Scale of Pay :-

Rs.18,000/-in level 1 in pay matrix as per 7th CPC pay scale with admissible allowance as prescribe time to time.

Age Limit :-

For general Category 18 to 25 (UC), and there is relaxation for SC/ST category for 5 year upper age limit, OBC 3 years and 3 years for ex serviceman. The notified age will be calculated as on 12.05.2018.

Qualification :-

The educational qualification is matriculation or ITI from a recognized board or university.

Exam Date and Center :-

Exam Syllabus :- The candidates are subjected to a aptitude test of the total of 100 marks of the level of 10th standard covering following the subject.

Part A : 25 Question with 25 marks on general knowledge.

Part B : 25 Question with 25 marks on Mathematics.

Part C(i) : 25 Question with 25 marks on English Language.

Part C(ii) : 25 Question with 25 marks on Telugu Language.

Note : Question will made in Multiple Choice question, duration of examination 120 minuts and there will be no negative marking.

Coaching class for AAO Exam at Madurai, Tamilnadu

CIRCULAR NO:1 Dated 16.04.2018

COACHING CLASS FOR ASSISTANT ACCOUNTS OFFICIER FOR DoT AND DoP AT MADURAI (TAMILNADU CIRCLE)

1. It is proposed to conduct Coaching class for AAO Examination at MADURAI by Shri. M.Bakthavatsalam. M.A. B.L., Senior Supdt. of Post Offices (Retired) and Shri. P.Karunanithy, Supdt. of Pos (Retired) for 8 days (Sunday to Sunday) for the period from 13.05.2018 to 20.05.2018.

2. Eligibility conditions:-

(a) The candidate must possess a Bachelors degree

(b) Qualifying service

(c) The word “Regular service” is in ambiguous nature. One clarification: Whether one PA in Level 4 having five years in PA cadre and five years in Postman cadre is eligible for this AAO examination? The Department has to clarify. 

3. (a) The present AAO Examination is a competitive examination. The candidates are selected on the merit basis as much as vacancy position.

(b) Previously JAO examination was qualifying exam. Qualified candidates are arranged in the merit list of the examination. Whenever the vacancy arises, the candidates from the waiting list will be posted as JAO. Now the qualifying marks systems is not applicable for the AAO Exam.

4. AAO posts are All India cadre posts transferable to all big cities such as Regional Headquarters.

5. Advantage of passing this examination

(a) Salary will be in Level 8 (Rs. 47,600- 1,51,100) 

(Old Grade Pay –Rs. 4,800/-)

(b) There is possibility for promotion to AO cadre 

{ (Level 9 Grade Pay – Rs. 5,400/-(PB-2)} after 2 years.

(c) Further there is possibility for promotion AO to Sr. AO {(Level 10 Grade Pay – Rs. 5,400/-( PB-3)} after 2 years.

6. (a) It is proposed to conduct the First AAO Coaching Class at Madurai for 8 days continuously (Sunday to Sunday) for the period from 13.05.2018 to 20.05.2018.

(b) Venue: Tamilnadu Government Employees Association building, No. 11, Mela Perumal Maistry veethi, near Chennai Silks and opposite to Park Plaza Hotel, opposite Railway station , Madurai 625 001

(c) Coaching classes will be conducted from 0830 hours to 1830 hours in the session.

(d) 50 fifty candidates can be accommodated in a Session.

7. (a) Willing officials are requested to send a SMS to Cell No: 094433 29681 to register their names to participate in the coaching class. Particulars requested: Name, designation, Division and Circle and Contact number.

(b) Names of the candidates will be registered and their registration numbers will be communicated to them.

(c) The first 50 candidates will be permitted in the first session to be conducted for the period from 13.05.2018 to 20.05.2018.

8. Second AAO Coaching class is tentatively fixed for the period from 03.06.2018 to 10.06.2018. Separate notification will be issued for second AAO Coaching class.

9. (a) The candidates have to purchase many books from Swamy Publications. Details of he books are available in Annexure A.

(b) Books available in Annexure B will be supplied by us in the coaching class on payment, for the candidates who registered their names with us.

10. Fees: Rs. 700/- (Seven hundred only) per day for coaching class.

11. Paper I, II, III, IV and V will be taught by us in all details.

12. The candidates should make own arrangement for preparation of Paper VI (Information and Technology) which is a Computer based practical test without aid books.

13. Coaching classes are conducted in English only. The candidates from all Circles may participate.

14. Male and female officers may stay in Hotel Grands Central, No. 82, Mela Perumal Maistry Veethi, Near Chennai Silks, opposite to Railway Station Madurai 625 001. (Contact number: 0452 2343940 and Mobile No. 90431 33312). Rent for Double Bedroom per day is Rs. 600/-. There is no separate single room. We have to book only double bedroom This lodge is very nearer to our coaching class.
